In 1996, Nicholas Hammeken, who already had experience in marketing and selling wine in various European countries, opened his own business. At first, the company was just selling and reselling wines from other wineries, but then, in 2001, they had their first own line of wines. The company follows the latest global trends in order to produce wine of very good quality and at a relatively inexpensive price from local Spanish grape varieties.
Winemaking
Located on the Atlantic Spanish terroirs, this fine wine collection is an exquisite example of the potential of Spanish white wines. A transition zone between oceanic and Mediterranean climates. 15-25 years old vines planted on a hillside 350m above sea level and run down he hillside to the banks of the river Miño in small town of Prado de Miño, Ourense. Hand-picked during early morning. Fermentation for 16-20 days at a temperature of 14-16°C. Aged for 6 months on its fine lees.
Tasting notes
Brilliant pale lemon colour. Aromas of yellow stone fruits, stony minerals and a hint of fresh sea breeze. On the palate, tropical fruits and stony minerals balanced with a mouthwatering acidity. Long finish, refreshing.
