Laficaia, wines of excellence and luxury boutique resort in Piedmont, Italy. In 2013 Enrico Piantato, nephew of Clemente Guasti, decided to leave the legal profession to pursue his dreams and continue the long family tradition. And it is precisely the memory of the fig tree, under which his grandfather Clemente used to rest, which is the source of inspiration for the birth of “Laficaia”. Sbarbata is a fantasy name derived from the Italian word sbarbato (“a very young, beardless boy”), used in a feminine form because Barbera is considered a female grape. This wine is young, light, fruity, and full of energy, with a touch of Moscato added to bring delicate aromatic notes to this beautiful sparkling wine.
