Manzone Giovanni winery was founded in 1925 in Monforte d’Alba, at the heart of Piedmont. For five generations, the family has cultivated the same vineyards, preserving the traditional style of Barolo and Langhe wines. The estate grows Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, and the rare Rossese Bianco grape. Vineyards such as Castelletto, Gramolere, and Bricat lie within the UNESCO World Heritage Barolo hills, where sustainable and manual viticulture is practiced. The wines are recognized worldwide for their elegance, balance, and extraordinary longevity. “Five generations of winemakers, the same lands for over a century.”

About the wine

A delicate and juicy red wine, made from grapes handled and vinified by Manzone Giovanni, in Langhe land. In 2020 a new vineyard was planted, in a few years it will be added to the production of Langhe Nebbiolo. ”The Crutin” is an historical house in the heart of the Gramolere mga, which has belonged to the Manzone family since 2001.

Winemaking

Tasting notes

Its nose is fruity, with a very delicate and pleasant rose note. The colour is lively ruby red of medium intensity. On the palate, it is slightly tannic, with emphasis on red fruit and an excellent spicy aftertaste.

Food pairing

It pairs perfectly with meat dishes, meat sauces, and cheeses.

Bottles should be stored lying down, protected from temperature variations and light. The wine has a lifespan of 5–10 years.
