After 30 years with the family estate Paul Jaboulet Aîné, as head of production, Philippe Jaboulet and his son have taken over a property in the Northern Côtes du Rhône as well as a family estate. Philippe Jaboulet has spent a lifetime at the service of wine. The vineyard is his domain. Vincent Jaboulet, oenologist, 4 years of studies on vine and wine, internships in France and in the new world (Australia), embodies the sixth generation of Jaboulet.
Winemaking
This vineyard, special because of the soil (more rolled pebbles), has been in the family estate for three generations. The vines are over 50 years old and produce low yields and high concentration. Vinified in oak vats, the wine from these vines is aged in barrels for 24 months. The nectar produced is a wine for laying down that can be enjoyed several years later.
Tasting notes
This is wonderfuly complex and concentrated, showing brooding dark fruits, liquorice, herbs and spice.
