Located in the heart of the Burgundian Golden Triangle (Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault), Chartron et Trébuchet is today recognised for the very high quality of its white wines, including 5 Grands Crus, and is remembered by connoisseurs as the creator of the greatest Puligny-Montrachet wines, symbols of the House.
Winemaking
Located in northern Burgundy near Auxerre, the Chablis vineyards are alongside a small river aptly named: the Serein (“serene”). Mechanical harvest. Traditional vinification. The grapes are pressed on arrival at the winery using pneumatic presses. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks thermo-regulated at 16°C. The wines are aged on fine lees for 9 months in stainless steel.
Tasting notes
This dry white has an orange blossom bouquet and is full of grapefruit flavours. There are layers of melon, apple and lemon with mineral notes on the finish.Recommended serving temperature: 10 – 12°C
