Teanum was established in 2000 in San Severo, the hometown of its founders, Domenico Demaio and Vincenzo de Matteo, as well as the first Apulian town to obtain the PDO designation, in 1968. Today Teanum has another winery in San Paolo di Civitate and boasts a production of 1.5 million bottles per year, sold in Italy and in some 30 countries worldwide.
Winemaking
25 days with prolonged maceration in steel containers. Ageing in first and second use American and French wooden barriques for 12-24 months, 12 months in barrels and in steel containers for 3 months, aging in bottles for 6 months.
Tasting notes
Ruby-garnet red, elegant on the nose, expressing intense fruity notes and spicy, it is structured and enveloping on the palate.
