In 1996, Nicholas Hammeken, who already had experience in marketing and selling wine in various European countries, opened his own business. At first, the company was just selling and reselling wines from other wineries, but then, in 2001, they had their first own line of wines. The company follows the latest global trends in order to produce wine of very good quality and at a relatively inexpensive price from local Spanish grape varieties.
Winemaking
Macabeo and Chardonnay are harvested early in the morning from vineyards over 20 years old. The soils are mainly clayey-calcareous and have abundant water in the subsoil. The climate is continental with a Mediterranean influence. Two fermentations, 9 months ageing in its own lees.
Tasting notes
Yellow greenish colour, brillant with fine and persistent bubbles. On the palate fresh and good balanced with clean and intense flavours of flowers and bread, soft and elegant aftertaste.
