About the Hesketh family.
«Three generations of our family have been involved in the wine industry for over sixty years, but an aversion to convention has always led us to follow ‘the path less travelled by’. In 2006 Jonathan and Trish established the Hesketh Wine Company to produce wines that reflect the family’s history. This translates to our wine being known for: Clarity: Regional typicity and clear varietal expression. Value: A level of sophistication beyond the selling prices. Quality is the overriding priority. Eat well, drink well, have fun»
Winemaking
Graceful and refined Madeline Alice NV Brut is made from classic sparkling varieties (Chardonnay & Pinot Noir) in a standard dry (Brut) style. This Non-Vintage release is bottle-fermented using traditional methods, then aged on lees for added complexity before decanting and bottling. The result is a complex and elegant style of sparkling wine.
Tasting notes
Delicate aroma of Chardonnay with fresh lemon zest and strawberries, creamy Pinot Noir. The palate is fruity and fresh, with added layers of creaminess and softness from malolactic fermentation and lees time.
