Located in the heart of the Burgundian Golden Triangle (Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault), Chartron et Trébuchet is today recognised for the very high quality of its white wines, including 5 Grands Crus, and is remembered by connoisseurs as the creator of the greatest Puligny-Montrachet wines, symbols of the House.
Winemaking
The vines are planted on a soil of limestone and clay. The vineyards have an eastern exposure. The harvest is hand-picked as soon as the grapes reach their perfect ripeness. After harvesting, they are taken to the cellars in Mercurey.
Tasting notes
The nose is mineral and smoky, giving aromas of ripe fruit. It is a pleasant wine with a round, soft and refreshing attack.
Food pairing
Goes well with fish, grilled vegetables or mushrooms, as well as seafood and shellfish dishes.
